5972 Olton Hall – a steam locomotive of type 2-3-0 a representative of class 4900 of the GWR network (also known as Hall Class). Gained fame after the Harry Potter films best known as the Hogwarts Express.
Initially the Taw Valley class SR West Country (en) of the type 2-3-0 and built in the second half of the 1940s was also chosen for the role of the Hogwarts Express steam locomotive. The engine was already repainted and renamed when director Chris Columbus suddenly rejected it considering it too modern. For this reason it was decided to use the 5972 Olton Hall.
