LKW 15 t mil gl KAT I A1 (8×8)
In the early 1980s MAN supplied the military with improved KAT I A1 vehicles as 15-tonne class platforms. The 15 t mil gl BR A1 trucks modified with a wider gauge of 2900 mm served as carriers for the Roland and Patriot launchers.
The four-axle truck is powered by a 360 hp Deutz 8-cylinder diesel engine turbocharger and intercooler. As in the 5- 7- and 10-ton class vehicles some vehicles are equipped with a Rotzler winch.
Introduced on January 19 2006 the COBRA radar also uses the KAT I A1 generation chassis.
