Monstera (lat. Monstéra) – a large tropical plant vine; genus of the family Araceae. The species of this genus are distributed in tropical rain forests of the equatorial belt of America. In the south area it covers almost the entire territory of Brazil and in the north of the Yucatan Peninsula and includes most of the territory of Mexico.
