The fur is made with Hair and Fur: don’t forget to select the Geometry mode:
Rendering -> Effects -> Hair and Fur -> Hair and Fur -> geometry

The scene is made in mm. If you have a scene in other units then just select the object Eichholtz – San Juan Stool – Fur – 001 and in the Hair and Fur modifier press Regrow Hair (Hair and Fur -> Tools -> Regrow Hair).

On the preview Hair Count 50’000.
In the FBX format the fur is saved with geometry but due to restrictions on the weight of the archive the Hair Count parameter is reduced to 30’000.
