The Leopard 2A7V tank was developed by Krauss-Maffei Wegmann and Rheinmetall as a further upgrade of the Leopard 2A7 tank and was first introduced in 2016.
In the Leopard 2A7V designation the letter V means Verbessert – modernized.
The main elements are prepared for TurboSmooth smoothing (2 iterations). The elements of the hull armament caterpillars have been worked out.
